Getting out of a rut in your wellness

We all hit plateaus ~ stuck in routines, slumps in motivation, or feeling disconnected from our wellness goals. And let’s admit, life is so overwhelming as it is. Maybe you’ve tried fitness classes or home workouts and still feel stuck. Pilates (and the right pilates community) can be the reset button your wellness journey needs.

  • Why people get stuck:
Wellness is so much more than hitting the the gym or doing cardio. It includes rest, recovery, mindset, movement patterns, and consistency. If one part of life (stress, injury, routine, lifestyle habits) is off, it drags down other areas.

  • What boutique Pilates offers that generic workouts don’t:

    • Personalized attention and movement mapping. At Pilates of Eastlake, we evaluate you as a person: your wins, your challenges and lifestyle habits so the programming fits you (not just a cookie-cutter class).

    • A structured progression: Pilates builds on core strength, alignment, and functional movement that can translate to everyday life. Classical + Contemporary + Contrology, (yes, those are ALL styles of Pilates and they all have value) all play a role in educating you and you YOU are the true expert of the way your body needs to move.

    • Mind-body integration: you learn how to move with awareness, breathe better, reduce tension, improve posture, and unwind mental stress as you move.

  • How you can break out of the rut:

    1. Start with a private evaluation or intro class to assess where you are. You know how your learn best, so choosing how you get started needs to be suited to your needs.

    2. Set small, measurable movement or wellness goals: better posture, less back pain, easier daily movement, improved flexibility or less fatigue. (And we will help you set those goals for yourself!)

    3. Commit to consistency: even two Pilates classes a week can make meaningful change over months. (Most of the time, even sooner)

  • Pilates gives you real-life impact
Many people in our studio tell us that after a few weeks at Pilates of Eastlake, they feel more energetic in daily tasks (lifting kids, gardening, commute, posture in work). They start to break old habits of movement or sitting slumps, and feel more empowered in their bodies again. It is the greatest honor to get to work with such incredible clients and the best think in the world is to see their lives change in real time. With the right coaching, you begin to unlock incredible habits and finally get out of that rut you have been stuck in.
