Evidence-based Pilates: from Recovery to Resilience

At Pilates of Eastlake, we specialize in structured, rehab-informed Pilates that supports patients transitioning from physical therapy to sustainable, long term strength and movement confidence.

We offer private one-on-one sessions designed for post-rehabilitation clients who require individualized progression, movement assessment, and careful load management.

In addition, our group classes are intentionally programmed using progressive loading principles, controlled movement sequencing, and appropriate modifications to support strength, flexibility, and long-term resilience. Even in group settings, programming reflects clinical awareness and structured progression rather than generalized fitness instruction.

Meet the Owner

My name is Alissa Kalczuk and I am the proud owner of Pilates of Eastlake, Eastlake Chula Vista’s first Pilates studio.

I have been teaching Pilates since 2008 and received my Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Balanced Body in 2014. In 2024, I earned my Diploma of Clinical Pilates, further deepening my expertise in evidence-informed programming for post-rehabilitation populations. I have additional specialization through The Nuro Studio in Pilates for neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis, along with certifications in gait cycle therapy. I work extensively with individuals following knee and hip replacements, applying structured progression and appropriate load management to support long-term functional strength.
